The idea is simple

Find the common thread.

01

Start with a clue

Reveal the clues one at a time, beginning with the toughest.

02

Connect the dots

Look for the category that links all four. Fewer clues, more points.

03

Have your aha! moment

Reveal the Quadegory and discover an interesting fact along the way.

Playing with a group

Make teams or play individually. Choose a reader, or take turns reading each round. The reader reveals the clues one at a time, allowing five seconds between clues.

Each player gets one guess per round. A correct answer earns the points shown on the latest clue: four, three, two, or one. An incorrect answer earns zero points and takes that player out of the round.

The reader can say “Correct,” “Incorrect,” or “Be more specific.” For “Be more specific,” the player gets one extra five-second chance to refine their answer. Play until someone guesses correctly or everyone has used their guess. Finish at an agreed time or point total.

Playing solo or without a score

On your own? Reveal clues at your own pace and take a peek at the Quadegory when you have a guess. Playing without points? Read the clues together and enjoy the connections, with no timer or race to answer first.

A little exercise for your curiosity

Quadegories invites you to draw on what you know, consider new ideas, and change your mind as each clue arrives. Some connections will be familiar. Others will send you somewhere unexpected.
